Inktober 2023

For this year’s Inktober, I decided to create a piece of lettering for each prompt. I want to become more confident drawing typography and editing type to create unique logotypes and handmade design. I thought the perfect place to start experimenting would be 31 prompts for October!

Inktober is about developing your drawing skills. Practicing everyday, consistently, in order to improve. This was what I needed for my hand-lettering and push my understanding of typography. I really enjoyed exploring different forms of hand lettering. Some days I got inspired by looking in letterpress books and old specifications, others I took inspiration from signage out and about.
