Young High Sheriff

Identity Design & Roll Out

The Young High Sheriff Competition engages young people with one of the oldest Royal appointments dating back over 1000 years. It encourages young people to understand more about this important role. The winner gets the chance to become the Young High Sheriff for a day, assisting the High Sheriff with their official duties on behalf of the King.

I was tasked with designing a system that would appeal to the students of schools as well as capturing the heritage of the role. It needed to work across a multitude of different touchpoint from posters, invitations and pamphlets to digital screens and websites.

It also needed to be flexible to work across many other competitions as the HSA (High Sheriff’s Association) want to spread the competition beyond Warwickshire. Below you will see a few pages of the design guidelines I created as well as examples of the design for the Warwickshire competition.
